“Many times when the bottom falls out, we immediately think life is over, but we must have a determination to rise above our circumstances and conditions and begin again. What happens to us may be painful, but it isn’t fatal. As long as we have life, we can overcome any obstacle,” Mr. Washington said.
In the book, Mr. Washington succinctly provides inspiring insight into learning to process a loss, breakup, or other challenging moments in life.
“A devastating event could be overpowering and draining physically, emotionally, and especially spiritually,” Mr. Washington says, “and people react differently to this.”
He says caring for spiritual health, for instance, is not something people should go at alone. In order for people to heal and move past the grief, they have to make time to connect with others.
For many people, this could mean spending more time with individuals close to them who can help them in such a difficult time. For others, this may mean turning to a support group where they can bond with people experiencing a similar event in their lives.
Mr. Washington has been serving as a pastor and minister of the gospel for some 45 years. He is married to a wonderful wife. He is a father and a grandfather, which gives him the enjoyment of family life.
He has been the honored guest for many nationally known churches to preach Revivals and Lectures. Washington has traveled to many countries and has been awarded many citations.
