Lone Peak Launches Affordable Truck Bed Camper

Overlanding company Lone Peak just opened reservations for a new truck bed camper that is sure to turn heads. Pricing starts (for a limited time) at just $4995; half the price of most competitors on the market. The Lone Peak Camper combines a traditional shell and a roof top tent into a single camper with lockable waterproof storage. The bed measures 4″x80″ which is twice as thick as most and has 32″ of space to stand up even with the bed lowered. The bed platform can raise up and stash out of the way to let you have even more space in your truck bed. The rear of the tent creates an overhang which increases the interior volume and sheds rain even with the door open.

Kyle Hart, Lone Peak’s founder, says to reach such a low price point, they had to do some serious engineering. “Most campers on the market are welded or riveted together and have a ton of post processing on the material which drives up the cost. We’re using the same high end, lightweight materials but we’re bolting them together and using pre-finished panels that we mill in house for the skin. The result is a super durable, lightweight camper at half the price.” 

Lone Peak has a suite of accessories available for their camper including LED lighting, storage containers, interior shelves and even wiring hookups if you want to install a light bar or solar panels. 

They are looking to start deliveries in June of 2023 and install for free in Wenatchee, WA or ship directly to you or a certified installer. The whole system looks pretty slick and as long as they can deliver, it looks like the competition is on notice.
