Jarrell Ellis (born March 28, 1991), better known by his stage name J.E Da Weirdo, is a veteran turned American rapper, songwriter, and producer. He has recently released his new album titled “Black Roses” that features songs like ‘Conversations with myself’, ‘My time’, ‘Absolution’, ‘Roses Black’, ‘Higher’ and ‘Black Roses’ among others. The album that features a total of 15 songs with a playtime of 58 minutes is released through his own independent label D.B.G. Records, (Dreams Building Greatness).

Ellis was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio. In his early childhood years Ellis was introduced into musical instruments from his elementary school and quickly picked up the trumpet. He began writing songs at the age of 12 to mimic his favorite underground rappers. In his junior year of high school he became the trumpet section leader and learned how to play the keyboard while in his senior year, he got into music production with the name of J.E216Productions that marked the beginning of his music journey.

After graduating high school in 2009, Ellis formed a local rap group called Da Midwez mafia, and went onto do a few shows but later disbanded the group because of some personal issues. By the end of 2011, Ellis reached local success with production and later moved to Atlanta in 2012. Shortly after the move, Ellis was forced to take a break from releasing music due to financial issues.

In early 2013, Ellis joined the US army and took his time to master his craft. Being released from the army 2016, Ellis returned home to Cleveland with his 1st single “28Gramz”. Following his single he released his debut mixtape “3000% Weirdo” in 2017. In 2018, Ellis returned to release his 2nd mixtape “Rap Attack”.

In his latest album “Black Roses”, Ellis uses groovy beats, along with catchy and sometimes explicit lyrics to create foot tapping numbers that are also suited for underground clubs. His new album is now available on Spotify and iTunes.
